A poem I wrote----hope you like it.
Rome wasn't built in a day. But isn't it funny how dreams, desires, goals, intentions can be formed in a second of restless thinking. Not so funny maybe. However, I am wondering when I will arrive at my desired destination. I guess the end result can be achieved with loads of stamina, perseverance and the will power to start and finish what you have put into mind. But one thing I realise now is that love cannot be built in a day. Buildings can withstand the wind, the rain, the snow and can still last a century where as the delicate heart cannot bare the thought of such seasonal changes. It decreases the life line of one thing we live for and that is hope. Now I know I was living an illusion I thought was true. 'Love does not exist.' From now on, I will use the term 'love' loosely. Does 'love' mean lust? I will leave it open so others can continue to use their false defintions if they want to live in ignorance. On a more positive note, love can be described as the value you show to others which is all about showing your weakness. Oh dear....You can actually help someone by putting them into a place they never knew existed, a place they can love themselves. Perhaps they may then see a reflection of themselves in you. Will he realise how much I care and will I eventually receive the love I deserve? It doesn't matter whether he cares or not! It is just that some things in life are inevitable; we are powerless to control them. Call it fate if you like or even karma. There are many injustices in this world and love appears to be one of them.
